🖍️🐷🌱 Join us as we cover Ritz Park along South Grand with colorful messages of compassion for animals!
As part of this afternoon of compassionate chalktivism, we will:
🎨 draw eye-catching animal art and vegan slogans that stop passersby in their tracks
📢 chalk hard-hitting facts about animal agriculture along one of St. Louis’ busiest pedestrian corridors
📺 set the stage for the St. Louis Cube of Truth later that evening, which will take place at Ritz Park from 5:30-9 p.m.
Why chalk? Because it works! South Grand is one of the most walkable, foot-traffic-heavy districts in the city, and every message we write will be seen by hundreds of diners, shoppers, and passersby throughout the evening.
This event is for you if you:
✅ love art, color, and creativity
✅ want a fun, low-pressure way to advocate for animals
✅ are looking for family-friendly activism (kids welcome!)
No artistic talent required! Whether you’re a seasoned muralist or can barely draw a stick figure, there’s a square of sidewalk in Ritz Park with your name on it. Slogans, facts, hearts, hooves, and paw prints all count.
We’ll supply plenty of sidewalk chalk, but feel free to bring your own favorite colors (make sure your chalk is vegan; not all chalk is!) We also recommend bringing:
🧴 sunscreen and water
🧎 knee pads or a cushion (chalking is hard on the knees!)
👕 clothes you don’t mind getting dusty
Afterward, we will grab dinner at one of South Grand’s many vegan-friendly restaurants, then join the St. Louis Cube of Truth from 5:30-9 p.m. for the grand relaunch of our local Anonymous for the Voiceless chapter!
