We shared vegan Pride with thousands of festivalgoers at Tower Grove Pride!
🏳️🌈💚🥳 Thank you to the eight excellent changemakers who volunteered at our Vegan Pride Booth at Tower Grove Pride last weekend!
At our multipurpose booth, we sold vegan food, showcased vegan t-shirts, and screened undercover footage of factory farms and slaughterhouses with We The Free!
Dozens of people joined our mailing list, we raised nearly $300 by selling our line of Pride-themed vegan apparel, and we distributed over 100 pieces of literature.
But more than just selling t-shirts, we raised awareness about veganism, animal rights, and our local vegan community. Thousands of festivalgoers discovered STL Vegan Market for the first time and were encouraged to think about animals, hopefully not for the last time!
More fundamentally still, we connected the cause for animal freedom with the struggle for human rights, showing that we can care about humans, animals, and the environment simultaneously!
Justice for all means justice for animals, and this fight is not subtractive; it is additive. Through activations like our Vegan Pride Booth, we exhibit the fact that veganism is not only a social justice issue, but that everyone gains when no one suffers and dies needlessly anymore.
We didn’t just operate a booth; we advocated for a paradigm shift that asks us to prioritize the rights of everyone, nonhuman animals included.
If work like this matters to you, please join us for our Disabled Vegan Expo, Vegan Trivia Night, and March to Close All Slaughterhouses!
