Pet Connection Protest: Save the Bunnies!

  • Pet Connection 2214 South Vandeventer Avenue St. Louis, MO, 63110 United States (map)
Save the bunnies, stop the breeding, end the suffering

Join us as we protest Pet Connection, a local pet store that sells bunnies from breeders!

Why? Because:

  • ⛔️ Rabbits aren’t “starter pets”—they’re high-maintenance, long-term commitments.

  • 😿 Pet store suppliers abuse rabbits and keep them in horrific conditions.

  • ⚰️ 80% of rabbits bought as Easter gifts are abandoned or die within the first year!

Many people who buy rabbits end up regretting it, but it’s the animals who end up suffering.

As part of this protest, we will:

  • ❌ pressure Pet Connection to stop selling rabbits from breeders

  • 💰 raise awareness about the problems associated with selling bunnies for profit

  • 🐰 encourage people to adopt rabbits from local shelters instead

Missouri has many wonderful rescues with plenty of young rabbits in need of homes. Here are some of them:

Even large corporations source their bunnies from local rescues now. If Petco and PetSmart can do it, so can Pet Connection!

🚚 LOGISTICS:

This event will be held in two parts: 1) Friday, April 18th, from 5-6 p.m. and 2) Saturday, April 19th, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. The main protest will take place during peak business hours on Saturday, their busiest day of the week, but we encourage you to make both actions if you can.

Whatever you do, please help us oppose animal cruelty this Easter season!
