✊🐶🧪 Join us as we march to end cruel experiments on animals as part of an electrifying nationwide day of action led by the March to Abolish Animal Testing (MAAT)!
Famous for their 207-mile march from Albany, New York, to the Marshall BioResources breeding facility, MAAT has sparked a firestorm of activity and renewed the charge to abolish all animal testing.
On Dec. 3rd, we will march down the Delmar Loop to WashU, where monkeys, mice, and countless other animals are confined, experimented on, and killed. And we won’t be alone: on the same day, MAAT activists will hold peaceful demonstrations at universities across the country, taking the fight for animals straight to the campuses where so much of this cruelty happens.
Why universities? Every year, universities breed, buy, confine, and kill animals behind locked laboratory doors, often funded by our tax dollars and hidden from students, alumni, and donors. Meanwhile, modern, human-relevant research methods are proving that science doesn’t need animal suffering. Universities should be leading the way, not clinging to the past.
Together, we will:
📢 Shine a light on the animals suffering in WashU’s laboratories
🔬 Call on WashU to commit to replacing animal experiments with human-relevant, animal-free science
🐾 Demand the abolition of all animal testing, once and for all
The action doesn’t end on Dec. 3rd. MAAT will keep building pressure through December and deliver signed letters to university administrators in January. Your voice on the Delmar Loop is part of a movement that won’t stop until every cage is empty and every animal lives safe, happy, and free.
Our goal is to mobilize 50+ St. Louisans, which would make this the largest animal rights march in our city’s history! Whether you’re a student, alum, faculty member, or simply someone who believes animals deserve better, there’s a place for you in this march.
