Kyle Luzynski is the Founder and Executive Director of Project Animal Freedom and the editor of VeganSTL.com. Project Animal Freedom operates VeganSTL and is a Missouri-based nonprofit organization recognized by the IRS as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3). Kyle founded the organization on October 19, 2018, and has spent the years since building the community this site covers: organizing markets, marches, classes, potlucks, and community dinners across the St. Louis metro area.

Kyle earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Saint Louis University in May 2020, with a focus on ethics, social justice, and applied leadership. That academic background informs his work on veganism, animal rights, nonprofit strategy, and community organizing.

That organizing work is the foundation of Kyle's editorial coverage. He has led the annual Vegan Ice Cream Social at Bombay Food Junkies (237 attendees in 2025), taught Vegan STL 101, run Veganuary programming, and coordinated events from monthly potlucks to citywide marches. When VeganSTL describes vegan life in St. Louis, it’s describing a community Kyle helps build week by week.
